Billy

David Kalb was my Avionics Platoon Sgt for a time before going to S1, S2 or S3. I don't remember exactly where he went.

James Fisher was our (7/159th) Maintenance Control officer. I flew with him many times.

Mostly to Giebelstadt. He left Germany and was stationed in Ft Sill Oklahoma. He flew down to Ft Hood Tx once to pick up some parts. I volunteered for Post detail once and worked with a British guy and a guy named Tony. You have my full permission to use my Photographs.

I have a few patches and unit insignia. I will try to look for them this weekend. When I arrived in Germany I was a PFC (E-3) and left as a SGT (E-5).

When we were the 394th I worked in the 1st hanger by Burger King then when we became 7/159th I worked out of the Avionics shop.

When I left Germany I went to 1st Squadron 7th US Calvary in Ft Hood Texas.

I retired from the 3664th Maintenance Co. from West Virginia in 2007 after being to Al Taqqadum, Iraq for a year.

My wife and I loved the area 2 of my daughters were born in Germany. One at 5th General in Bad Cannstatt and the other in the Krankenhaus in Ruit.

My wife had a friend named Rosie Leach her husbad was David Leach who worked 2nd coscom. They lived in Neuhausen.

I currenty work for American Electric Power as a Instrument, Control and Electrical Technician.

Billy I had a friend I met through the Chrismas with a German family program it may have been through the Kontact club. His name was Eberhard Neumann

and I believe he lived at 26 Stroh strasse in Esslingen. He was president of the Johanniter-Hilfe in Esslingen, had a wife named Heidi, son named Mike and a daughter named Anja.

I would like to get in touch with him if he has an e-mail address.

Best Regards

James

Hi Billy

You are welcome for the pictures and thank you for the Schnitzel recipe!

No that is not me on the bicycle it is the British guy that ran post detail, an yes we cut grass, picked up trash and painted all over Nellingen. I volunteered for post detail for a month.

Yes it is my car, the car is a 1973 Ford

Mustang convertible, I have had it since 1992. I drive it around town on nice summer days. The land around here is hilly with forests and the Ohio river is pretty big. I have deer in my yard regularly and have had a bear in my yard also.

Yes I was with 7/159th in 1990 - 1991 and 3664 Maintenance Company from West Virginia in 2004 - 2005.

I live in Middleport, Ohio. It is a small town of 2700 people on the Ohio River bordring West Virginia. I do have a good job maintaining a power plant. I do have a Harley Davidson motorcycle and go to many motorcycle rallies in the United States. I also have an old Mustang auto that sits in my garage most of the time.

The cruise ship picture is the latest one I have but it is not military related. Billy I would love a good schnitzel recipe. I have a Schwäbisch cookbook but my recipe's never taste as good as they did in Germany. I used to drive trucks to Funker Kaserne for brake tests and loved to get the Jäger Schnitzel there!

Hello Billy

I enjoyed the picture of you and your family it is very nice.

Yes I went to the Iraq 2 times, once with 7/159th AVN and a second time in 2004 to 2005. The pictures I sent were from the second time when my oldest daughter went also.

I looked for the Nellingen pictures and am attaching the ones I found. These were taken when I was on post detail in 1987. I thought I had more but can't seem to find them.

Also attached is a pictures of me in Desert Storm. Also I included a picture of my youngest daughter, who was born in the Krankenhaus in Ruit, with my Mustang.

The Tornadoes in West Virginia and Kentucky were about 100 miles south of us, so we are all well.

Billy do you have Facebook?
